Napa Cabbage

You’ve been getting some Napa cabbage in your crates the last few weeks, and it might be new to you—I know it was to us. The “Napa” moniker comes from colloquial and regional Japanese and refers to any food veggie leaves. Fawn carefully selects varieties of the vegetables we grow to be both different from what you find in the grocery but also suited to our growing conditions (think soil, season, tolerance to pests, frost, etc). Napa cabbage—also called Chinese Cabbage— is mild, almost sweet. It is another superfood - low in calories but rich in vitamins, antioxidants, and folic acids. We love it stir-fried, but the chart above gives you other ideas on how to use its different parts.
