Try drying your fresh basil to keep it for longer.

Tie the stems together with a string, making sure leaves are hanging freely and not clumped together. If they get clumped they will not dry correctly.
Then hang in a paper bag.
Close the paper bag with a string and check on basil every couple days until fully dried.
You can also try using a short or folded cookie drying rack on a baking sheet. Place basil on drying rack and rack on top of cookie shoot to allow air flow. Lay the basil in a single layer. Then put that in the oven overnight with the light bulb on. It might take a little longer depending on the moisture content and the relative humidity.
