Get the Dirt: 1808 Sicilian Lemon Balsamic Vinegar

This week we are unearthing more delicious details about the Sicilian lemon balsamic vinegar sold in our 1808 Store.

Like a crisp, cool glass of water on a hot summer day, hints of lemon give this white balsamic vinegar the ideal balance between playfully tart and pleasantly sweet.

Pairs well with sesame oil for a fantastic salad dressing or marinade, drizzle over grilled vegetables for a bright, lemony flavor, add it to plain Greek yogurt for a healthy fruit dip. Or, simply add to water for a refreshing twist.

Lemon Asparagus

Put a delightful summery twist on your asparagus with our quick marinade using the 1808 Sicilian lemon balsamic vinegar. Fresh and tasty, this side is easy to make and will leave everyone wanting more.

INGREDIENTS

Cover a baking pan with parchment paper and preheat oven to 350º F.

Whisk balsamic, oil, and lemon juice together and pour over cleaned and trimmed asparagus. Let marinate for 10 - 15 minutes before arranging evenly on prepared baking pan. If desired, arrange a few slices of lemon on top. Roast for about 15 minutes or until done. Finish with salt and pepper.
